“When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.”

Whats not to love about freshly homemade chocolate brownies!! Brownies are always a perfect treat and are extremely quick and simple to whip up in your kitchen. For me the best ones are always fudgy, moist, chocolaty and soft in the centre with crispy edges and crackly tops providing a slight crunch and if that’s what you are looking for you don’t need to look any further than this, a foolproof and easy chocolate brownie recipe that’s very simple to make and tastes scrumptious.

Making these brownies are really easy. You do not need to worry about mixing the dry and wet ingredients separately. Just add all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix together with a hand electric blender or with a wooden spoon until well blended. Pour in the baking tray and bake voila !!

Brownies can be altered and made with lots of variations based on preference, with nuts to add a crunchy texture, berries to provide a fresh burst of sweetness, mint, toasty coconut, s’mores or even peanut butter. However you like it, brownies are a perfect sweet treat to keep in your house and this is the perfect base recipe for you to use!

Helpful Tips and Tricks for making Chocolate Brownies:

  • This recipe uses a square tin (9″x 9″x 2″), but you can use oblong or even a round cake tin but it should be roughly the same size.
  • If you can’t find stork margarine, you can use any other margarine or softened butter.
  • Just keep an eye on the brownies, you may need slightly more or less time than the recipe states. Also, if you feel the mixture is browning too much you can cover the tin loosely with foil for the last 5-7 minutes. No one likes dry brownies, so bake them until a toothpick inserted comes out with just a few crumbs attached.
  • They’ll continue to firm up as they cool!Wait for the brownies to cool as cooling them make them gooier and fudge, and they’ll be less likely to crumble when you slice them.
  • You can also have some variations to this recipe. Variations – 100 grams of white chocolate, 100 grams of chopped walnuts, Baby marshmallows 1-2 handfuls.
