HELPFUL TIPS AND TRICKS OF MAKING GUACAMOLE :
- Buy avocados that are nearly ripe: mostly firm to the touch with just a slight give when pressed gently. Do not use overripe avocados.
- Using a mortar and pestle extracts the most out of every ingredient and also keeps the texture smooth and creamy.
- Crushing the ingredients will release additional oils that we can’t get when chopping so please do not skip this step.
- The ratio of salt to avocado is 1/4 tsp of salt per avocado.
- Guacamole oxidises and turns brown very quickly. If you have to store it, the most common preservation hack is placing plastic wrap directly on the guacamole or keeping the seed of the avocado in the leftover Guacamole.
